Today was the best day! Today we played Improp 2 What if. It is when you have 5 words .You use those 5 cards to finish a story that was on a bigger card. My favorite part was Turnovers 2. It is when you have 2 kinds of cards, an Art card and Subject card. The subject card tells you what to draw on the Art card.TR

Natural disaster special!

Good morning boys and girls. I’m LMG here to report to you more info on avalanches. Well actually I’m just going to talk about my accomplishments on my report on avalanches. I have achieved something. I’m going to end up being our anchor person for our class natural disaster video. I’m going to make sure I make my script toasty so our following listeners can be hooked on to our class video. I can’t wait. So far I have written the whole script but I have been going back and revising so I can be the best nine year old anchor ever! Here are some things I’ve come up with: Blow your top (volcanoes). Blow away (hurricane). Shaking  report. Very rocking and rolling (earthquakes). Lets crush into our next report (avalanche). That report really washed me away (tsunami). Now, on with the blog. I got some news peeps! We have started on our anchor scripts for our Good Morning Gifted Natural Disasters Special News Show.! I found a rating scale for tsunamis! I did all my research except the rating scale. Tsunami 1 is 2 meters tall, 2 are 4 meters tall, 3 are 8 meters tall, and lastly 4 which are 16 meters tall! The 4 is a disastrous height and major flooding and damage to most buildings. I am interviewing Tilly Smith, a girl who saved many people on a beach on the coast of Thailand. She noticed the water was foaming, and the waves coming in, did not go back out. She got to meet Bill Clinton, as he was the current president. What a tsunami that occurred December 26^th, 2004. Tsunamis, Earthquakes and other disasters!

Atlantic Beach and Gifted citizens, do not be alarmed! You’re probably thinking I’m writing about horrible tsunamis, earthquakes and other natural disasters, but fear not! (And FYI, they are not horrible. They are wonderful and interesting! Why would I do a report on a BORING subject?) I wouldn’t scare you like that, unless you all needed to evacuate. But I am only going to say, Sorry. Sorry for keeping you on the edge of your seat waiting forever for the next edition of Atlantic Beach Times. The reason behind this tragedy is a tragedy! My crew and I have been busing reporting to other people. We are sorry for cheating on you. We gave up newspaper for Good Morning Gifted the news show. However, we are only doing a Natural Disasters special on it, so we won’t be gone long. (To be honest, Mrs.Stansel didn’t ever open the news stations for us to type you some juicy news. And as proof I’ve been busy, I shall tell you now my tsunami report. Never mind, it’s too long, but I’ll tell you this, if you want your proof, just watch me in action on the news. I’ll give you more information later, because we don’t know much about it yet. Also, we solved a mystery last Wednesday, but you know we had no news reporting time. It was the great Harry Houdini mystery. Rebecca Eubanks forged a postcard in the name of Houdini! Man, the nerve of that GIRL. No, I didn’t mean woman, I meant GIRL. GIRLS, forge things. GIRLS, commit crimes. BOYS, commit crimes. WOMAN AND MEN are the mature ones. Ace reporter BAK.

Flash Floods

    Flash Floods are terrible!!!! If you live in a region at risk of floods get out now. Flash floods start from heavy amounts of rain. Cars can slip and slide and humans can die!!! Houses and buildings are powerless!! If you’re in a house when a flood comes get out!! Because you could get trapped. Water would flow in and trap you!! I don’t mean to scare you but I’m just giving you the facts.

Avalanches and maybe more natural disasters

 Boys and girls, Mothers and fathers I proudly present… Avalanches! We are sorry that we have not been able to report anything to you for the last month. Anyhow, to get started, I wanted you to give you a heads up on the new scoop on avalanches. Did you know that there was a recent avalanche that happened this weekend? You didn’t? Well it just happened down in Washington State. Can’t you see? (And FYI) These horrible natural disasters just can’t seem to stop thereselves. It’s all fun and games until an avalanche comes and BA-BAM! You never saw it coming. Well it is very sad because you MIGHT plunge to your death and end up under a pile of snow developing hypothermia. Now I’m not trying to scare you or anything but just be on the lookout for these ferocious warning signs whenever you are up in the snowy mountains. Oh, and I have so much more to say. Recently we have solved a mystery on a forgery for a famous dude that passed away on Halloween.  When Harris Tweet checked out the original copy on his latest book he noticed that there were two author’s notes. But the thing is that both notes didn’t look alike. It looked like someone tried to forge the note! That is when the case took place and I had to use my detective skills to figure out this mystery. We did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions like what time did they get there and what were they doing during the event. Turned out Rebecca Eubanks committed the forgery. You know what’s been nagging at me? The fact that people just lie about everything and try to act innocent when the cat is out of the bag. After all, honesty is the best policy. I just hope one day we could have peace in the world one day. I know BAK wrote a lot of more words than me but what is important is getting the news to the people. Wow!! You should really visit the main library in Downtown Jacksonville!! The children section is the place to be!!! It’s complete with a manatee booth and an alligator bench!! Chik-fil-a and downtown library

Today we went to the downtown library to do research on our natural disasters project. As you know not only am I a chief detective and newspaper reporter but I am also a news reporter on GBS gifted news channel 5. I’ve found a very reliable source. A book called Sweeping tsunamis, it’s a tsunami!, and Tsunamis monstrous waves. Not much to say today so SORRY!!!! Ace reporter, BAK.

It’s time for a field trip

Today we went to the downtown library and had lunch at chik-fil-a. At the library we were searching for info on our natural disaster projects. As you know, I am doing my report on avalanches. It was very hard to find many books about avalanches but luckily I found one large book about avalanches. I’m hoping to make my report beautiful. Even beautifuller than BAK’s! At Chik-Fil-A I was able to enjoy a kid’s meal and a delicious milkshake. Stay tuned for more information than BAK. We’re kind of at war. Bye, Bye. LMGJ

TODAY WE WENT TO THE DOWNTOWN LIBRARY AND DID SOME RESEARCH ON OUR NATURAL DISASTER PROJECT THEN WENT TO CHICK-FIL-A AT THE DOWNTOWN LIBRARY WE WENT TO THE COMPUTER ROOM AND LOOKED UP OUR PROJECT  WE WENT TO JPL.COM (JACKSONVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY .WE WENT TO THE KID SECTION AND PICKED OUT A BOOK .AND CHECKED IT OUT THEN WE WENT TO CHICK-FIL-A AND ATE LUNCH NOBODY BROUGHT THEIR OWN LUNCH EVERYBODY HAD SOME THING THAT INVOLVED .SOMETHING TO DO WITH CHICKEN FIELD TRIP TIMES SIGNING OUT .(PS.WE WILL BE DOING A NATURAL DISASTER PROJECT SIGNING OUT.DLM.
