Inside Gifted Scoop

For Mrs. Moneybags, when she died her nephew stole her will. Now for an inside scoop on Mrs. Brannon’s 4th grade class. Mrs. Brannon’s 4^th grade class will be on WJCT Christmas morning to play you a great holiday song. A new project we are going to start in gifted is a news segment on natural disasters were me L.M.G and B.A.K  will be ace reporters on different natural disasters. Now sighing off G.L

Hello! Sorry there is another person who’s newspaper name is similar to mine. I’m just so admirable. But sorry there is no headline. We finally get a break from all that work. But last time I wanted to announce that Tull is guilty charged! But guess what? I’ll be on the news! I mean, we’ll be on the news. Sorry. I just love being in the spotlight. I’m going to be an ace reporter chief detective. My topic is blizzards. Cool right? We’re being trained by watching natural disasters movies with LIGHTNING! Lightning Strikes!

Today, there is no new case that has popped up. Finally, our deserved break! Not that we want one! Anyways, today, I will announce that we will be on the news soon. In fact, we will be taking over! SMK, our junior reporter and detective will be weather lady. LMG and I will be reporters, and so will 5 other people. We are training by watching awesome movies with natural disasters as a report. On the news!!!!! So, today we watched LIGHTNING! I will do a report on avalanches with humor. LMG is on blizzards. This is Ace reporter BAK, signing off.

I know it’s kind of weird that BAK and I write for a different type of newspaper. But today is your lucky day! Tull, the nephew stole Miss Moneybags last will and testament. He received 15,000,000 dollars! What a greedy man. Now I have to sign off. Stay tuned. LMGJ

TULL, THE NEPHEW!

I have arranged the county jail to bring Tull a copy of the newspaper. Last week I wrote specifically that today was Tull’s last day of freedom. And I was right. Today I put him behind bars. Miss Moneybags’ nephew stole her will! Why you ask? We don’t know his exact motive. He received $15 million! The highest was $20 million, but apparently, he wanted more. Chief detectives LMG,SMK, and I have solved the case because WE ROCK AND ROCK AT CRACKING CASES!  SMK is in training. Ace reporter BAK.

Miss. Moneybags last will and testament was stolen by            ! Can you believe it!? Yes, we have not figured out who’s done it.  But don’t worry citizens! You know LMG and I can crack the case because WE ROCK, and because WE ROCK AT CRACKING CASES! So, if you stole Miss. Moneybags' will, you might as well confess. Because no matter what, we’ll find you and lock you up for good. So, get put in jail, or confess and get put in jail. You’re not going to confess are you? Alright so innocent citizens we’ll fill you in next week. We won’t fill in the culprit because by then, the culprit will already be behind bars. BOO-YAH SUCKER! Ace reporter and chief detective BAK. P.S If you stole the will and your reading this, FYI you’ll be in jail next Wednesday.

I’m very sorry that I could not report to u the last time but I got really sick of that burrito. This time Miss Moneybags will was stolen! Her death recently occurred and she wrote her last will. But it’s very antique so someone has stolen it. Don’t move. I see you quivering. Once again, if you committed the crime, I suggest you lock yourself in your room and suck your thumb. If you are innocent drink water out of your own shoe. I’m not crazy by the way{yes you r}. I’m getting hungry. But you do not get anymore burritos. I’ll be watching you. Bye, Bye. LMGJ

Last Wed, we published an article about the new investigation going on. Veronica Best, famous actress, was hit by a scenic baton. Who did it we asked? Stealing the spotlight

Mrs. Stansel told me I could blog in newspaper form, but if it wasn’t about what we did today, she would DELETE IT!  So, we cannot talk about Harold Flowerdew today. That’s how we got our headline. At gifted today, the children got to play a game called 1-100! First person to say a hundred wins! By adding within 10 #’s. I got to join the kids of course! Also I enjoyed the natural disasters movie we watched.  I liked positive and negative graphiti. Side By Side I loved it. And my favorite thing was….. DRUM ROLL please……… LUNCH! Ace reporter, BAK.

I Iiked  the Bill Nye  movie. CPC            

Well as you can see……..Bill Nye is awesome!!!!!!!He’s like so random! He made me laugh almost the entire movie. He really knows how to make science fun. My favorite part was when Bill Nye was saying how rocks are so flexible like this man and then all of a sudden a video of a man in small underpants was doing this weird kind of flexibility motion with his legs. The funny part was it looked kind of funny. OMG! I love Bill Nye! You should try watching his program. Otherwise I had a fun day at gifted. GO Bill Nye! Go!! LMG

You guys know what I’m going to write. Bill Nye is awesome! He’s hilarious! My favorite part was the lady telling her son to eat his crust, and then she was laying down going “OH! My plates!!” And then that weird flexible man who bent himself when Bill said “rocks are flexible.  I also liked Fall Colors. I don’t have much to say… I just loved Bill Nye! Oh yeah, and I liked playing Music Box. Man I love Bill Nye! BAK.

Gifted is awesome! I loved Force and Motion Lab, and today was the first time I did NOT like the game. The Rain Game was eh. I kind of liked wire sculpting, so today was not my favorite gifted day. I liked Arrow Word Search though. BAK

Today was an OK day. I didn’t really like our game of the week today.  I loved Webster’s Theatre! I love acting. It’s my #1 specialty. Though today wasn’t the best gifted day, I’m always happy to see my gifted teacher! Bye! LMG

 I  loved gifted today. We did wire sculptures which I have been so excited for and Webster’s Theater. It was also awesome I can’t wait to come back next Wednesday. GL

I had a an awesome time at gifted today. I can’t wait to come back to gifted and do wire art. Here are the two poems I wrote on September 28: Autumn leaves are paper planes swinging, gliding, bursting down they race the air to the ground and hit the ground with ease. Now this is my other poem: Autumn leaves are magic carpets flying, twirling, zooming into the air they burst through the clouds and land gracefully on the ground. I hope you liked the poems GL

Today an awesome day at gifted. Today we played a game called “Crash”. I bet it was supposed to help us become a team. We also did Private Eye School. We figured out that Ray Slade (a suspect)committed to Mr. Zilliman. I knew it all along. I also believe I am a good poet because we did Autumn Leaves and I LOVED using my creativity. I have a gift at a lot of things. That’s why I’m gifted. =) But most of all I can’t wait to come back SHOOLESS SWINGERS!!!!I’m done here. Bye. ;). P.S. I talk too much. LMG

Today I had fun playing Word Ball and doing the Electric Train Robbery kmw         

I had a great time at gifted today doing Wordball and Electric Train Robbery GL

Today was SUPER fun. We finally started Private Eye sSchool, and I’m very close to figuring out who stole the electric train. I liked playing Word Ball, but it was a little challenging. I wish we could have done Force and Motion lab, but I would prefer the Private Eye School. When I grow up, I want to be an Author, Detective, or Fashion designer. BAK

Today was the best day ever! We did a crime that was kind of like Private Eye School. To me, Private Eye School really helps me use my “Brain Action”! It’s fun solving crimes to find the suspect. Though  today was a half day, I had so much fun doing everything with my gifted teacher. She’s awesome! I hope I never leave gifted! LMG

Today was very cool ! It was so funny when we were playing Word Ball because my friends were laughing and were saying funny stuff.I loved working with one of my friends on Private Eye School I wish we could stay here forever!:)SLK

Blog for September 14

I loved Screamer and math quilts. CPC

I had an awesome time at gifted today. I loved Screamer and doing quilts also meeting an author. I can’t wait to come back. GL

I LOVED playing Screamer. It’s fun to make up funny ways to scream to your death. I also love doing logic puzzles, which is why I liked High Flying Kites. Get There was super fun, and I liked trying to figure out how to “get there.” I love gifted and wish it was every day! BAK.

Today I really liked playing Screamer. Though I won 2  times , I still wanted to get out so I could scream to death. I had a really fun day at gifted. I can’t wait to  come back. Gifted is the best resource ever. LMG

I had super fun playing screamer and visiting the photographer/author plus doing the math quilt  and much much more in this FABULOUS gifted class.JMM

My  day today was so great. We played Screamer, when everyone closes their eyes  they have to  look at someone. If another person looks at you,you scream. We did lots of fun activities today which were so great  that I almost yelled “This is a blast!”AMG

I loved Get There and doing States of Water but my favorite thing was Screamer and yes because you get to scream in school. EGH

Today was amazing I loved playing the game Screamer that was really funny and cool. I also loved talking and playing with my friends outside. Then at the end of the day we did something called quilt math.SLK

September 7th

I like doing the stippling drawing of our lips and playing Categories. BAK

I liked the science projects and stippling my lips in art and also the Categories game. JMM

I had a great first day at gifted and I can’t wait to come back. LMG

I like doing the sound, the Paper Wad game. I liked the When Tops Stop and Categories. My favorite is when we did the stippling contour pictures and shoeless swingers. GL

August 31st Blog

I had fun doing gesture drawings and Sam had interesting poses. I wish I could have drawn myself too. And I’m happy we get to do private eye school next Wednesday. Now I’m a real detective. BAK.

I love gifted we did an awesome gesture drawing and doing action reaction and an awesome time doing projector puppets I can’t wait to come back GL

I worked with matter, played action reaction, had a lot of fun drawing poses of my friends, and observed  what people what people were wearing.JMM                                                                                                                          

Today was incredible and fun I loved making gesture drawings and It was fun playing action and reaction. the Most fun was really observing with the cups and the blocks mass and I liked making the white clay that we made out of corn starch and water. SK

Today I did gesture drawing it was pretty fun. We played action reaction. Also I watched a movie about drawling. I worked with matter  we mixed corn starch and put 3 tps and mixed its together.DML

 Today I played action reaction,drew pictures of my friends , and had a blast. I also liked trying to connect 9 dots only using four lines. My first day of gifted was so fun. I liked the playground we had for gifted. I had the best time of my life.  TR

I love what we did today .The best thing we did today was we mixed cornstarch with water and it was a mixture of a solid and a liquid.TDR

Welcome to fourth grade gifted! I am very excited for this year and cannot wait to get to know all of you! I have been working on units about inventions, advertising, mysteries and art. I can't wait to get started.
